Sock Hop Cruise
The Friends of Homosassa
Springs Wildlife Park will be present-
ing a Swingin' 50s & 60s Sock Hop
Party Cruise on Saturday, September
12, 2015 with boats departing from the
Visitor Center at 5:00 pm. You'll take a
stroll down Memory Lane as you cruise
along Pepper Creek on a pontoon boat
to the park's West entrance and walk to
the  Garden of the Springs. Once there
you'll experience a return to the 1950s
and 1960s as you mingle with TV char-
acters of that time period. Participants are
encouraged to wear 50s and 60s outfits.
Live entertainment for the eve-
ning's Sock Hop will be provided by the
Suncoast Drifters.
Refreshments will
include hot dogs and roasted marshmal-
lows over an open campfire.
The Citrus County Cruisers will
be on hand to show off some Wheels of
that era. After the  festivities are over,
you'll be transported by tram back to
the Visitor Center. Tickets must be pur-
