VFW Men’S Auxiliary Annual Fishing
Tournament Septemeber 27th 2008
Benefiting local Disable Veterans and Haven Hospice of levy county. There is a
fun time fishing tournament scheduled for September 27th 2008 headquartered at
Yankeetown Marina and hosted by VFW Men’s Auxiliary. Registration money will be allo-
cated to 9 cash prizes each for the biggest spotted sea trout, biggest redfish, redfish with
the most spots, largest Spanish mackerel, and largest flounder. Based on an 80-boat entrée,
cash prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of biggest redfish and trout.
Redfish with the most spots, largest Spanish mackerel, and largest flounder will win $50.
There will be 100% pay out of all entry money.
The entry fee for the event is $75 per boat prior to or on September 26th and
$100 per boat after September 26th. This fee includes 2 anglers: each extra angler must
pay a fee of $25. Registration is open until tournament starts on Saturday morning. A
highly recommended captains meeting will be held at the VFW post 8698 , 520 hwy 40
east about 1 mile east of light in Inglis at 6:00 Friday September 26th 2008. The Calcutta
will immediately follow the captains meeting.
Registration forms may be obtained at the VFW post in Inglis, the Yankeetown
Marina, and the Yankeetown General Store in Yankeetown, Hook Line and Sinker, and Gob-
blers Eatery.
