Woman confesses to stealing items from Inglis store
Grace L. Summerlin, 28, Williston, was issued a Notice to Appear for petit theft
by the Inglis Police Department on Aug. 7. According to the report, police were sent to the
Inglis Citgo gas station due to a retail theft in progress around 7:22 p.m.
The officer reported that when he arrived at the store, Summerlin was leaving the
store “with a large amount of food items sticking out from her bathing suit.” The officer
asked her to remove the items from her clothing, and she removed food/snack items from
her swimsuit bottom and top, and confessed to having stolen them. The items totaled $8.33.
The store clerk and a witness stated they had seen her placing the items into her bathing suit.
