The Inglis-Yankeetown Lions Club sponsored a nine member kayak team in the American Can-
cer Society’s “HOPE FLOATS – Kayaking For A Cure” event on the Withlacoochee River Aug. 1,
2009. Team members contributed $600.00 in sponsorships to which IYLC added a $500.00
contribution. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. The team won the Grand Prize
–a new kayak! This kayak can be won during the IYLC Seafood Festival (Nov 21-22, 09). Team

Eligibility to receive free or reduced-price meals (breakfast and lunch) for Levy
County students is determined by household size and income.
A letter and an application form is being sent to all homes in the Levy County
Your Summer Grilling Headquarters
School District explaining eligibility for the free and reduced-price meals. If you qualify,
according to the guidlines in the information being sent to the homes of Levy County school

students, please return the application form to the school. Additional copies of the informa-
tion can be obtained in the principal’s office at each school.
Applications may be submitted at any time during the year. If a household member

becomes unemployed or if the household size changes, the school should be contacted.
Foster children may receive benefits, based upon the child’s personal income, ir-
regardless of the income of the household where the child lives. Any household with chil-

dren who are considered migrants, homeless or runaway should contact the school district
