George Hebbard, 70, is believed to have been attacked and injured by an alligataor

at Nature Coast Outpost in Chasshowitzka on Sunday afternoon, July 29. The attack was
reported to the Citrus County Sheriff s Office at 5:21 p.m. Nature Coast Emergency Medical

Services transported Mr. Hebbard to Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill (Hernando County).
The case was turned over to the Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission (FWC). According to
the FWC, the alligator that bit Mr. Hebbard was reported to be 4 to 5 ft. in length. As the case
