12th Annual Freedom Celebration
Announcing the South Levy recreation park 12th annual freedom celebration to be
held at the Buddy Risher sports complex at So. Levy Park on Saturday, July 5th,2008.We
would like to invite everyone to attend our Independence Day celebration. Contests, games,
waterslides, etc will begin at 12 noon. We encourage everyone to attend.
Inglis Mayor Carolyn Risher said there will be several special events throughout
the evening including a meet and greet of the county candidates. Come join us in making this
the best fireworks display ever! Please bring your own chairs.
Independence Day Pageant
South Levy Little League will sponsor the Little Miss and Little Mister Indepen-
dence Pageant on July 5th, 2008. Activities will start at 12:00.p.m. Registration forms will be
avaiable at : Food Ranch, Florida Video, Inglis Post Office and Subs R US. Dress is strictly
Patriotic, no evening gowns or Tuxedos. Please send forms to the South Levy Little League,
P.0. Box 504, Inglis, Fl. 34449. Deadline to enter is June 28th. Every entrant will receive a
goody bag. There is three age groups-0-2, 3-5, and 6-8. We hope to make this year bigger
and better than before. Judges decisions are final. Great Prizes for the winners. Lots of
activities are scheduled for the day, Please come out and help celebrate the 4th of July, on the

It's VBS "Beach Party Time"!!!
Parsons Memorial Presbyterian Church at 5850 Riverside Dr, .in Yankeetown is
inviting all kids (3 & up) to their VBS "Beach Party beginning Monday, June 23 to Friday,
June 27 from 9AM to 12 noon.
The VBS "Beach Party " Planners have 5 fun filled mornings in store for all, with
music, crafts, games, Bible Stories, and Miss Judy's yummy snacks. Our beach store will be
open each day so that you may buy cool things with your earned beach tokens! On Friday
we will have a family picnic lunch to wrap up the week.
If you want to have a cool time and make new friends, while learning about God's

Medicare Counseling at Library
SHINE, a volunteer program with the FL Dept of Elder Affairs, will be conducting free and
confidential counseling on Medicare, Medicaid, Supplemental Insurance. Part D Drug Plans,
and Prescription Assistance Programs at the AF Knotts (Yankeetown) Library the 2nd
Wednesday of every month. Our next session will be July 9th, 10-12, or call 1-800-262-2243,
if you are physically unable to come to the site.

I looked at and I see big trouble down the road with noise and industrial growth in our
residential areas if it is permitted. You can make the difference. Decision making emerges out
