Richard Curtis Doty, 44, Texas, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Of-
fice in Williston, June 10, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
His surety cash bond was set at $2,000. The arrest report stated that Doty's car was facing
north in the stationary southbound lane of Hwy. 41 at 3:08 am, that the lights were on, and
Doty was asleep. He had vomited and had an open beer in the car. He told the deputy that
he was driving from the home of relatives in Beverly Hills to Ocala. He smelled of alcohol,
the report stated, but said he'd only drank one beer, earlier in the day. Doty said he was not
drunk, but tired, and he'd eaten something that had made him sick. During a roadside sobri-
ety exam, Doty performed poorly, and due to a visual test showing vertical gaze nystagmus
(involuntary side-to-side movements) and two breath alcohol tests being negative for the
presence of alcohol, the deputy reported he believed that Doty was under the influence of
a narcotic. However, Doty refused to submit to urine and blood testing for the presence of
narcotics.
Krystal Ann Rosenbaum, 31, 3900 N. Tamarisk Ave., Beverly Hills, was arrested
by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, June 12, charged with (felony) possession of a con-
trolled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia (to inject, ingest, inhale or intro-
duce). Her total bond was set at $3,000. The arrest was the result of a traffic stop for care-  A two vehicle car crash in Inglis, June 21, caused minor injuries to three of four passengers,
