SEC Network
Debuts in August
With Doug Johnston
The SEC network is sched-
uled to begin broadcasting on August
14, 2014. The network will operate 24/7
and carry over 1,000 Southeastern Con-
ference sporting events in the first year,
including 45 football games, over 100
mens and 45 women's basketball games,
75 baseball and 60 softball games.
Two of the first three University of Flor-
ida football games are scheduled to be
aired exclusively on the new network
which is a part of the ESPN umbrella.
Football games after the first two weeks
into the season are usually scheduled for
television as the season progresses.
Unfortunately, Dish and ATT
U-verse are the only providers in the
Dunnellon and Inglis/Yankeetown areas
that have reached an agreement with the
fledgling network thus far.

fans are going to be disappointed when
