Vacation Bible School
Once again this year Faith Lutheran Church located in Crystal Glen Subdivision
just off 44 and 490 in Lecanto will be hosting a Vacation Bible School for children ages
3 through 6th grade. The dates are June 11 through the 15th from 9AM to 11:50AM dai-
ly. The theme of the VBS is “BUG ZONE, Transformed By Our Big God!” You may regis-

the church office at 935 S. Crystal Glen Drive, Lecanto. The VBS is open to all the children
between these ages, please register early to start off the school vacation time.
Family Community Day
The Altar and Rosary Society of St. John the Baptist Church is sponsoring a Fam-
ily Community Day at Bob Evans Restaurant on Wednesday, May 16 from 6 a.m. until
9:30 p.m. The Restaurant is located on Hwy. 200 across from the Timber Ridge Emergency
Center. The event is being held to support their “Clothe the Children Drive” which will be
held in August. 15% of meal tickets will go toward the “Clothe the Children Drive”. A flyer
must be presented at the time of check out. Flyers can be obtained at the Church, at CVS
Pharmacy and Winn Dixie in Dunnellon and at Bob Evans Restaurant one week prior to the
event. All proceeds will be used to buy new clothing to be distributed to families in need in

Nature Academy Summer Camp Programs in June and July
The Friends of Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park sponsor the programs. June’s
Nature Academy is for children ages 8 and 9 years old, and runs June 11 through June 16.
July’s Nature Academy program is for children ages 10 through 12, and runs from July 9
through July 14.
Applications for the Nature Academy summer camps will be available in the park
