Earl Wayne Hammaker, 39, 3495 S. Kings Ave., Homosassa, was arrested by the
Citrus County Sheriff's Office, April 11, charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted

felon. His bond was set at $2,000. The arrest came after a deputy stopped to speak with a
group of people holding a yard sale too close to the road at 3655 S. Suncoast Blvd., causing

a safety issue. He told the group that a complaint was made and asked if they had a permit
for the yard sale. The group responded that they were unaware they needed one. During

this conversation, Hammaker was holding a taser (stun gun) in his hand. The deputy, who is
aware that Hammaker is a convicted felon, placed him under arrest.



residence. She told the deputy she'd taken the gun and had sold it to a man she identified

by name in exchange for methamphetamine valued at $20 and two percocet pills. She also
gave the name of another man she said the buyer was planning to sell the gun to. According

to the arrest report, Watkins was very cooperative.
