Re: Accident on U.S. 19 Barge Canal Bridge (May, 2011)
“In fact, Joseph P. LeBlond was transported to Shands at UF. He was in a coma for
10 months before he passed away on March 27th, 2012. My dad (Joseph LeBlond) had a
traumatic brain injury in result of the accident on May 9th, 2011. The driver T. Brock was
not issued a ticket until this year 2012. My mother was subpoenaed to court along with the
FHP officer & Mr. Potter. Mr. Brock did not show, but he did have a lawyer there to repre-
sent him, along with his parents and wife. Brocks lawyer asked for the ticket to be dismissed
and it was granted because the FHP officer didn’t show.
Nothing has been done about this accident (no investigation or charges) . T. Brock
hasn’t tried to contact my mom or the other driver to even ask how they are doing. My father

passed away on March 27th, 2012 because of this car accident. It is a sad shame that the FHP
officer couldn’t bother to show up, or give a reason as to why he wasn’t there-same goes for
