death of Rex Siglin, 45, of Hernando.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Mr. Siglin was driving a riding lawn
mower, pulling a small homemade trailer, attempting to cross State Rd. 200 (N. Carl G.
Rose Hwy.) from the west shoulder, to travel down E. Brave Lane.
Woodrow Story, 30 Homosassa, was driving a 2005 Ford F-350, traveling north
on State Rd. 200 approaching the same intersection. Siglin failed to yield the right-of-way
to Story, and the front of Story’s truck struck the right side of Siglin’s lawn mower.
Both vehicles came to rest on the east shoulder of State Rd. 200. Siglin was trans-
ported to Citrus Memorial Hospital where he later expired from his injuries.
