There are sure signs
on the horizon that I am turn-
ing into that old man that I have
talked about for most of my life. You know,
the old guy who holds up the line at the check
out at Home Depot for what seems like eter-

who has more hair sprouting from his nose
and ears than on top of his head. Or the one
who has to have you repeat everything 5 or 6
times because he can't make out what you are
saying.
I don't look in the mirror much be-
cause I'm not sure that the reflection I see is
me. It looks like an alien has taken over my
body. Getting out of bed in the morning is an
exercise in itself. I don't jump out of the sack
anymore. I crawl out slowly and try and de-
termine which part of my anatomy is going to
take center stage in the aches and pain de-
