Ice Cream Social
There will be an Ice Cream Social at the Yankeetown Community Church,Saturday,
March 31st from 3pm to 5 pm. Home made Apple Pie Ale Mode, Banana Splits, Sundaes,
Home Made Belgium Waffles, Brownies, Cookies, Strawberries, and Root Beer Floats for
only $5 per adult and $3 per child under 10. All you can eat! Yankeetown Community
Church is located on Highway 40 West in Yankeetown, 2 miles west of traffic light in Inglis
on US 19.
Yankeetown-Inglis Woman’s Club Scholarship
A reminder that all applications for the Yankeetown-Inglis Woman’s Club Schol-
arships are due no later than April 4, 2012. The awards are open to students who attended
Yankeetown School for at least two years and graduated, or will graduate, from Dunnellon
High School or Crystal River High School. Also eligible are home schooled seniors, those
who are attending college and maintain a 3.0 GPA, and those who have worked after gradu-
ation but now have concrete plans for resuming their education. Those who wish to apply
may obtain an application from guidance counselors at Dunnellon or Crystal High Schools,
at the A.F. Knotts Library on 56th Street in Yankeetown. Selection will be made by mem-
bers of the Yankeetown-Inglis Woman’s Club Education Committee and scholarships will

The Levy County Tourist Development Council will have its bi-monthly meeting
