Wildlife Park's Invites You To Take
A Walk Back In Time
Homosassa has a long history
filled with interesting stories and fascinat-
ing characters. Its natural beauty and its
bounty of fish, oysters, fowl, game, and
plant life has attracted  people from the
area s earliest Native Americans to to-
day s visitors and residents.  Ellie Schil-
ler Homosassa Springs Wildlife State
Park invites you to join us as we take a
walk back in time during the month of
March. On Friday, March 11 and Satur-
day, March 12, 2016 we will be holding
Homosassa Heritage Days with  special
workshops by Florida Public Archaeol-
ogy Network (FPAN) on Native-Ameri-
can Pottery and the use of shells by these
early Floridians. On Saturday, March 12,
2016, we will also have exhibits on area
history by local organizations, groups and
individuals  in the Visitor Center. There
is no charge to attend the Heritage Days
events. Regular admission does apply for
entrance into the wildlife park. To regis-
