Thorpe along with County Management and Budget Director Cathy Taylor went
through the past, present and future with the Commissioners and in the end, gave them three
options for balancing the budget.
Ms. Taylor showed Commissioners a comparison of Citrus County to other coun-
ties in the state when it comes to the millage rate. “We have one of the lowest rates in Florida
at 55th in the state.”
She also explained how much revenue was lost due to property value reductions
