We Care Food Pantry in Final Phase
We Care Food Pantry of Citrus County has just received a $10,000 check from
the Heritage Oaks Foundation, from Tampa. The president, who is a friend of Joe Cappi-
celli, came out on Thursday and I had the opportunity to explain our vision to him and he
wrote a check for $10,000.
Diane Toto, director of We Care said, “We can use that money as matching money
towards Herb Stenger’s $75,000 matching challenge. We are that much closer to both
our goal and Herb’s match. We also have Sugarmill Woods Civic Association’s matching
$6,500 money. That brings our match to $16,500 so far. Please remember that Publix Su-
permarket Charities is scheduled to present a check for $40,000. on March 9th.”
Toto also said, “ we are in our final phase of construction. We are at about 90%.
This is also crunch time for truck raffle tickets. These tickets must be sold. We cannot
leave money on the table. We are booked into every festival and event to sell tickets.”
The fundraiser is a drawing to win a 2012 Dodge Ram Hemi Quad 1500 ST truck with Ex-
press Package. Only 2,000 tickets are being sold. The truck was generously donated by the
Crystal Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram dealership. Tickets are available at We Care Food
Pantry, Regions Bank, Capital City Bank and all Crystal Motor Car dealership offices. For
additional details, please contact wecarefoodpantry.org or call 352-628-0445.

This week's featured photo is a picture of Rob Burns and Jim Chastain with some nice fish
despite the winds. The Redfish were caught on gold spoons and the trout was caught on a live
shrimp. Most of the fish were caught in the Porpoise Point area.
