result of a traffic crash in Homosassa. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash
occurred at 4:31 p.m. as Badro was driving a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle, traveling east on
County Road 494, west of S. Schooner Dr. The report stated that Badro, who was wearing
a helmet, lost control of the motorcycle after pulling a "wheelie" and traveled across the
westbound lane and off the roadway. On the shoulder, the motorcycle struck a roadway sign,
became airborne and traveled into the water canal along the north shoulder of the roadway.
Badro received fatal injuries and expired at the scene of the crash. This crash remains under
investigation, but these details were believed to have led to the crash at the time of the press
release.

Crystal River Man
A traffic crash in Levy County, Feb. 11, resulted in both drivers being transported
to Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River with minor injuries.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 3:40 p.m. on Coun-
ty Road 40 at SE 105th Ave. Wesley T. Foley, Jr., 28, of Crystal River, was driving a 2005
Toyota Corolla, traveling west on County Road 40. Ronald T. Bass, 55, of Debary, FL was
driving a 2002 Toyota Tundra, traveling east on County Road 40. As the two vehicles each
approached the other, Foley's vehicle drifted across the center line and partially entered
the eastbound lane, causing the front left of Foley's vehicle to strike the left front of Bass'
vehicle. Foley's vehicle came to rest in the westbound lane facing northwest. Bass' vehicle
rotated counter-clockwise and skidded off of the south grass shoulder of the roadway, where
