Motorcycle crash injures Inglis youth Georgia Man Arrested In Yankeetown
For Aggravated Battery
A Georgia man visiting a friend in Yankeetown at 6621 Riverside
Dr. was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff s Office, Feb. 5, charged with
aggravated battery and possession of marijuana. According to the sheriff’s
office, Dep. Jason Gallup arrived at the location around 10:30 p.m. to in-
vestigate a complaint of a disturbance, and found the victim with several
lacerations to his head and bleeding from his face and inside his mouth.
The victim told Dep. Gallup, that while he and 60 year-old Joe
Bernard Floyd, Jr. of 4446 Flint Hill Rd., Austell GA, were drinking beer,

Floyd became hostile and attacked him with a kitchen knife, striking his
face.
Deputy Gallup spoke with Floyd at his camper. “He confirmed the confrontation
and stated it was defensive,” the report stated. Gallup noticed marijuana, in plain view and
asked Floyd about it. “Yeah, I smoked some; it’s mine, “ Floyd replied, the report said.
