Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve Schedule
The WGP is an excellent place to bring your out-of-town guests and to walk off
those holiday calories. See natural florida at its best!
We have some exciting programs scheduled at the Withlacoochee gulf preserve at
1001 old rock road (opposite 65th st on hwy 40 west) in Yankeetown.
January 1 - Saturday - our third annual byo lunch and share a dessert at 1:00 P.M.

January 28 - Friday - keeping track of our manatee population - at 10:00 A.M. At
the education center, presented by Joyce Kleen of us fish & wildlife. Joyce will talk about
aerial manatee survey data, the survey area, how the flights are conducted, how the data
is used, peak and average counts, statewide manatee surveys, and the new manatee emer-
gency rule along with a powerpoint presentation.
Beginning Art Lessons
Beginning colored pencil drawing starts on Sat. Jan 15 at the UU fellowship in
Citrus Springs.. The series continues every Saturday for 6 weeks. From 9:30 to 11:30 Jan
Hitchcock, painter, ceramicist and professor from CCF, will guide you with color theory
