Citrus County Extends Submittal Period for Tourism Grants
The Citrus County Tourist Development Council announced that they will hear
grant requests at their April meeting, effectively extending the applicant submittal period
by one month. Grant selection and budget allocation will also take place during the April
meeting. The new grant submittal period is as follows: January - Applicant Submittal Period
Opens; March - Applicant Submittal Period Ends;April - Applicant Presentation to the Tour-
ist Development Council, Grant Selection, and Budget Allocation. There are three different
grant categories available: Capital Improvement Projects, Special Project/Events and Col-
lateral Materials for Marketing.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ­ At the request of Insurance Commissioner David Altmaier, the
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has granted another extension giving
National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) policyholders in Florida an extra 30 days, or until
January 31, 2017, to file claims associated with Hurricane Hermine. The previous extension
was set to expire on December 31, 2016.
