CITRUS SPRINGS - At 6:44 a.m., Dec. 22, the home invasion of a N. Academy Dr., Citrus
Springs residence was reported to the sheriff's Office. During the home invasion, four adults
and three children were confronted by a masked suspect who forcefully entered the home
by breaking a rear sliding glass door. He threatened them with an assault-type firearm. He
said, if he wasn’t given all the money in the house, he'd shoot them. When he was told they
had no money to give him, the suspect ran from the residence, empty-handed. No one was
injured. Witnesses described
the suspect as a white male,
between 6 feet 2 to 4 inches
tall, with a medium build. He
was wearing a dark ski mask,
a dark flannel-type shirt and a
toboggan hat with ear flaps.
