The Inglis Sew and Sews held there their First Annual Quilt Show at The Inglis Community
Center this weekend. Eighty-Five quilts were on display with sizes that ranged from wall
hangings to king size. Many of the quilts were made in the early 1900’s. Designs ranged
from nine patch pattern, to Bargellos. The Inglis Sew and Sews meet every Monday from, 6pm
until 8:30 in the Inglis Community Center. If you quilt please come and join us, and if you
don’t quilt come and learn. We want to thank all that provided quilts for the show and those

Part of the annual fish fry and long timer gathering held for Cedars of Lebanon Cemetery
at the Inglis Community Center is the cleaning of all the fresh caught mullet. Seldom seen,
except by those dedicated to the task, is the gathering early before the cooking begins of the
cleaning of all the fish. The cleaning session takes place on the Runnels property in Cracker-
town and volunteers look forward to this necessary part of the job to joke and carry on. Once
a year those who’s family members lay at rest in the cemetery dating back to the late 1800’s
gather to talk stories and catch up on happenings at this fish fry. At another time the group
gather at the final resting place north of Inglis to clean the cemetery and join for a pot luck
