Holiday Decorating Contest
The Recreation Advisory Board Activities Committee (RABAC) is sponsoring a
holiday decoration contest for both residences and businesses.. There will be a first place
and honorable mention in each businesses and residences. Judging will be held on Decem-
ber 20th from 7pm-9pm. The winners will be notified that evening. We are keeping the theme
along the same line as the Christmas Parade, being "An Olde Fashioned Christmas". Places
will be judged on their interpretation of the theme.
You do not need to be home to be judged. Winners will be awarded a plaque and all
the bragging rights they deserve. Applications must be turned in by Noon on Thursday,
December 18th to be judged. Applications can be picked up at the Inglis Town Hall or call
RABAC Chairperson, Valarie Davenport at (352) 447-3323 to have one mailed to you.
Book Signing Dec 13
Betty Berger's book "Back Roads" will be for sale (autographed) at the Food Ranch
in a few days. You can also get your copy by calling 352-447-2736. It's the history of the
Inglis-Yankeetown area and of Levy county, as researched and written weekly over the last
several years. Don't let the old stories get lost and look at this 450-page book when it finally
gets here. The Food Ranch will host a book-signing Saturday, December 13, 2008 from 10 -
