Levy County Sheriff s Office Jail Report
Remembering the past
Nov. 14 - Melinda Helen Foster, 57, Inglis, was booked into the Levy County Jail by the
Inglis Police Department, charged with written promise to appear (bond $10,000) and pro-
bation violation (no bond).
Nov. 16 - Ernest Edward Schott, 19, 11162 Nighthawk Terrace, Inglis, was booked into the
Levy Couty Jail by the Levy County Sheriff s Office for operating a motor vehicle without
a valid license (bond $500).
Nov. 16 - Donald Knowlton, Jr., 34, 21 Cypress Lane, Inglis, was booked into the Levy
County Jail by the Inglis Police Department on two out of county warrants. His bond was
set at $7,000.
Nov. 17 - Michelle Mallorie McKay, 25, 6730 Debra St., Inglis, was booked into the Levy
County Jail by the Inglis Police Department on seven counts of fraud (credit card, more than
$100) and one count of grand theft (greater than $300, less than $5,000). Her bond was set
at $80,000.
Port Paradise Hotel was known mainly to fisherman back in 1956 when this photo was taken.
In 1961 Elvis, The King made this a landmark in sleepy Crystal River when it was chosen as
the lodging while the movie Follow That Dream was being filmed. The majority was filmed in
Yankeetown and has been the subject of celebration as the half century mark was reached.
