CFEC Set to Expand Offices
Central Florida Electric Cooperative has broken ground on a new main office
building that will be located next to the current operation center in Chiefland. The entrance
will be from the east side of County Road 321 and the address is 11491 NW 50th Ave.
A larger, more customer friendly lobby area with four payment windows, more
parking spaces and a two-lane drive thru will provide members with better customer ser-
vice.
The 32,000 square foot building will consolidate operations currently housed in
three different buildings: engineering, the main office and the drive-thru.
Departments included in the new building will include administration, finance, in-
formation systems, member and customer services and system control. System control will
be in a secure section of the building able to withstand winds up to 160 miles per hour.
