Half Price Adoptions at Animal Services
Pet Patrol
In coordination with National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week CitrusCounty
Animal Services will be offering half price adoptions on all dogs and cats November 8
through November 12. The cost to adopt a dog will be $30 and cats will be $17.50. The
cost includes age appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchip. To qualify to be an
adopter, you must own your own home or obtain a permission letter from your landlord;
also, existing pets in the household must be appropriately licensed. To view our pets online
visit www.citruscritters.com and then visit the shelter at 4030 S. Airport Road in Inverness
(behind the Citrus County Fairgrounds) to adopt your forever friend. Contact Animal Ser-

Citrus Parks & Recreation Events
The P.L.A.Y. programs offered in the upcoming session include; basketball which
will be held at the Citrus County Resource Center on Wednesdays, flag football located at
Bicentennial Park on Tuesdays or Thursdays, and cheerleading which will be held at Bicen-
tennial Park on Thursdays. The next session will begin the week of November 7 and spots
are filling up quickly. Boys and girls, ages 3-5, are encouraged to join the 6-week program.
