Disaster Preparedness Training for volunteers November 9
Pet Patrol
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is hosting a class on November
9 to train volunteers to become public speakers on disaster preparedness and response.
RSVP is looking for volunteers who want to become part of a team to conduct
training sessions to educate other community members. The session on November 9 will
run from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The class will be held in the Sunshine Cafe at the Citrus County Resource Center,
which is located at 2804 W. Marc Knighton Court, off County Road 491 just south of Bev-
erly Hills. A meal and refreshments will be provided.
The goal is to educate Citrus County residents with disaster preparedness and re-

communications plan. Volunteer opportunities include: course training facilitation, citizen
recruitment, administrative support activities, and session coordination.
